2020 Skincare Favorites

January 2, 2021January 2, 2021 ~ Jasmine ~ 3 Comments

2020 wasn't a great year, but it was a great time to reset and refresh our skin care routines. Did anyone else feel like their skin has never looked better? I know mask-wearing has led to skincare issues for some including "maskne."But I feel like learning to work around and avoid those issues has challenged … Continue reading 2020 Skincare Favorites

My morning skincare routine | May 2020

May 25, 2020May 24, 2020 ~ Jasmine ~ 1 Comment

So I'm here with another skincare-related post and since I previously shared my May 2020 evening skincare routine, I figured it was time to share my morning skincare routine. Washing my face first thing in the morning is the best way to jumpstart my day. In the morning I cleanse my face with the Indie … Continue reading My morning skincare routine | May 2020

My evening skincare routine | May 2020

May 14, 2020 ~ Jasmine ~ 3 Comments

Believe it or not, not all Asian mothers have secrets when it comes to beautiful skin. My mom has pretty nice skin with very little effort--she was literally just born with it. So, when I started struggling with acne, she really didn't know what to tell me except to just try whatever I could get … Continue reading My evening skincare routine | May 2020

😬So I definitely have had this photo for like over a month and was too lazy to post it...so here it is!
🌸Happy Tuesday, friends. This week and the next few will be a bit stressful as we very very very slowly reopen the library. We’re going to be starting pick-up appointments for books soon. I hope you’re all continuing to stay safe, especially if you are also returning to work.
🌷Happy Monday, friends. Let’s not pretend that last week was not a giant emotional rollercoaster, but let’s also admit that it was needed and it is still very much needed. The journey to social justice, dismantling systemic racism, and unlearning immoral human behaviors is never ending. So while I may be posting my “regular content,” I will continue to share important resources to support BLM and further my own education on how to be better ally and human being. Call out racism and teach one another. But also be compassionate and empathetic both to yourself and to our black brothers and sisters who are so tired and deserve so much love and support. Continue to amplify melanated voices, support black creators, and share black stories. I can’t wait til my @lavishandlitcandleco candles (black owned business) come in! I’ll definitely be doing an unboxing when they do 🥰.
💜It’s my 27th birthday today! But did you know yesterday should’ve been Breonna Taylor’s 27th birthday? If you were to ask me what I want for my birthday, I’d tell you that I want justice for Breonna and every black life that was cruelly and inhumanely ended. None of you owe me anything, but we owe black lives EVERYTHING. In honor of BREONNA’s birthday and all black lives, please consider donating to BLM causes, signing petitions, and amplifying black creators, businesses, and voices. Visit the sites below which contain SEVERAL ways you can support BLM from home 🤎
Thanks to @biancaxgarcia for compiling these resources and graphics. Here are a variety of ways for you to support BLM beyond a social media post. Also follow the link in my profile: https://blacklivesmatters.carrd.co/#
💐Super late post today because I spent 50% of it trying to remove a tick from my stubborn pup and giving him a flea/tick bath, and the other 50% was spent reading LITTLE FIRES EVERYWHERE in preparation for my library’s book club which I’m helping my co-worker facilitate.
